Congratulations to our U13 Div 3 Boys team for their heart-stopping Semi-Final win over Narangba Eagles Football Club last weekend.
With the scores locked at 2-2 at the end of full-time after a couple of impressive goals from Rhys K, the game progressed through extra time and came down to a penalty shoot out.
The Westside boys held their nerves and slotted home the victory 3-2 in penalties, with some fantastic saves from keeper Hunter S! There was also an early celebration after the Ref accidentally blew the whistle after 4 penalties….but the 5th shots were taken and Westside come out victorious.
Thank you to everyone who came down to support – It was a huge turnout and it really showcased our Westside Spirit and our pride in the Club.
The Grand Final is on tomorrow – Saturday 14th October – against Toowong FC at Samford Rangers Field 4, 12.40pm kick-off. The more support the better so let’s get behind these boys – We’ll see you there!
