Volunteering Opportunities for the 2025 Season

We are seeking volunteers to fill a range of roles for the upcoming 2025 season.

As a club, we rely on volunteers who are able to offer their skills to support our wonderful community.

Positions we are seeking volunteers for:

Junior Football Coordinator

Goal: Bring the fun to junior football by creating a top-notch program that focuses on quality experiences for both players and families.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the go-to person for parents and kids interested in joining our football family.
  • Spread the word about our club’s awesome playing opportunities.
  • Help organize and run grading sessions (if needed).
  • Pick the best coaches to lead our junior teams.
  • Organise Age Group Coordinators (e.g. U6-8, U9-10, U11+)
  • Submit team nominations to Football QLD
  • Liaise with Football QLD on junior football matters (if required)

Who You’ll Work With:

  • You’ll report to the President, Secretary, and General Committee.
  • You’ll team up with age group coordinators, coaches, managers, and, of course, the players.

Time Commitment: About 2 hours a week, with a little extra at the start of the season.

What You’ll Need:

  • A passion for our club and a drive to make it even better.
  • Great organization skills.
  • A team player who communicates well.
  • A love for working with kids and parents.
  • A current volunteer “working with children” check (or willing to get one if needed).

Events Coordinator

Join Us as the Events Coordinator!

Looking to add some fun to your week? As our Events Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our club’s most exciting moments!

What You’ll Do:

  • Smile and Say Cheese: Organize team photos for the season by coordinating with our photography partner and team coaches.
  • Holiday Fun: Organise school holiday clinics and manage registrations for our juniors looking to stay active during mid-season breaks.
  • Party Planner Extraordinaire: Work with our Junior and Social Media Coordinators to plan epic club events, from major raffles to social gatherings.
  • Trophy Time: Ensure every player gets their well-deserved trophy by managing orders and liaising with our trophy supplier.
  • End-of-Season Celebration: Help put together an unforgettable presentation day to wrap up the season in style.
  • Fundraising Fun: Assist with planning and rostering for Bunnings BBQs and other fundraisers, like Rebel Sports BBQs.
  • Raffle Round-Up: Organize teams and parents to run raffles at Arana Leagues Club—just 3 or 4 times during the season.

Time Commitment: Just 10-15 hours spread across the 18-week season—perfect for someone who loves being involved but has a busy schedule.


Merchandise Coordinator

Love club gear? As our Merchandise Coordinator, you’ll be the go-to person for all things swag!

What You’ll Do:

  • Get Creative: Team up with our merchandise supplier to pick out new club merchandise.
  • Spread the Word: Provide updates to social media coordinator so members are aware of the new gear.

Time Commitment: Just 5-10 hours over the 18-week season—perfect for anyone who wants to stay involved without a huge time commitment.


Referee Coordinator

Love the game and want to support the next generation of refs? As our Referee Coordinator, you’ll help our junior referees shine!

What You’ll Do:

  • Scout the Talent: Create a list of junior refs from our players (ages 9+).
  • Game Day Guru: Organize the ref schedule for each home game.
  • Rule Master: Provide junior refs with the playing formats and rules they need.
  • Coach the Coaches: Arrange training sessions to get our junior refs ready for the season.
  • Pay Day: Coordinate with the Treasurer to ensure our refs get paid on time.

Time Commitment: Just 1-2 hours a week during the season!


Equipment Coordinator

Got a knack for organization? As our Equipment Coordinator, you’ll make sure our teams are geared up and ready to go!

What You’ll Do:

  • Team Setup: Get player lists and order kits for our junior teams.
  • Kit Master: Sort and distribute uniforms to team managers.
  • Gear Up: Organize team kit bags with balls, cones, bibs, and first aid kits.
  • Budget Buddy: Help plan the budget for junior equipment needs.

Time Commitment: About 10 hours before the season and 5 hours during the 18-week season.


Field Manager

Love being outdoors and making things happen? As our Field Manager, you’ll ensure our game days run smoothly!

What You’ll Do:

  • Field Prep: Measure and mark out fields for U6/U7 games.
  • Game Day Setup: Open gates, set up parking, and get fields ready with goals, flags, and gazebos.
  • Keep it Tidy: Make sure everything is packed up after the last game.

Time Commitment: Just 1-1.5 hours per week during the 18-week season.
